Momentive Specialty Chemicals has launched new Axilat HP8538 redispersible powder, for external insulation finishing systems. The new redispersible powder combines best-in-class performance and water resistance with an eco-friendly product profile, according to the company. According to the company, HP8538 is ideal for all EIFS layer formulations (adhesive, basecoat, topcoat), but can also be used in many other mortar applications. Properties include outstanding adhesion to many substrates, excellent adhesion in wet conditions and outstanding hydrophobicity.
